The American Women's Association (AWA) will host its fundraising Cherry Tree Trot event on December 4 at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir featuring 2km, 3km, 5km and 8km races as well as a walkathon. Volunteer racers are needed to assist the physically handicapped in the 3km race.

Funds raised will benefit local charities. Entry fee is BD4 for youth aged 10 to 17 and BD6 for 18 and above. Each participant will receive a T-shirt, a light meal and a drink as well as a raffle ticket.

Entry is free for children under six and BD1 for everyone above six. Registration is open online and T-shirts plus race numbers can be collected on December 2 between 4pm and 8pm at a venue to be selected shortly. For details log on to www.cherry-tree-trot.com or
