Gulf Weekly PGA professionals clinch another win

 The Royal Golf Club’s team of PGA Professionals continued their winning streak in this year’s annual Professionals’ Challenge with a 12 under par gross score of 60.

The team, consisting of head teaching professional Tim Backhouse, teaching professional Chris McDonnell, Golf Operations manager Jamie Skinner and Bahrain Golf Club teaching professional Stephen Hoey, got off to a strong start, birdying 12 out of the first 14 holes and holding to par on the remaining four holes.

The Texas Scramble tournament attracted a field of 100 players and saw competitors trying to better the Pros’ team score. Of the 25 teams competing, only the team of Bernie Morgan, Hanne Hansen, Mohamed Al Sayed and Chris Milner managed to outplay the Pros, achieving a score of 57.9.
