Art lounge 4 will be held from May 14 to 23 at the Villa Lutz, Barbar. The exhibition will feature German glass blower Wilfried Markus, French painter Sophie Stephan Berger, Bahraini painters Abbas Almosawi, Sayd Hassan Al Sari, UK sculptor Cheney Fairchild and Lebanese photographer Christian Ghammachi.

Wilfried was born in Rheinfelden, Germany to a family with a tradition of glassblowers. He uses common techniques as well as a combination of lamp work and studio glass.

Sophie has been painting women or subjects linked with femininity following a lengthy psychoanalytical journey.

Abbas is one of the island's popular artists and is best known for his traditional souq scenes and heritage impressions.

Cheney has a deep interest in the human form and uses it to sculpt half-life size models and also experiments with casting, resins and bronze casting.

Sayd is one of the 'avant-garde' new generation artists on the island and has exhibited in Kuwait, Iraq, the UAE and Qatar and won several prizes.

Christian has 15 years of photography experience and his collection is a mix of portraits, travel photos and random moments of daily life as well as fashion shots.

The exhibition opens at 7.30pm on May 14 with the glass blowing performance starting at 8pm. The second glass blowing session will be held on May 16 at 3pm. The exhibition will remain open daily from 5pm until 8.30pm. For details contact Marion Labani at 17580522 or 39212060.
