Father and son Ross and Justin Clewley won the third competition of the current Coca-Cola Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club with a score of 29.4 points. Youngsters Taimur Malik and Yaseen Le Falher clinched the runners-up spot with 30.7 points while husband and wife Rob and Debbie Lane came third with 31.3 points. Nearest the pin side contests on holes 12 and 16 were won by Ebrahim Al Hashel and Yaseen Le Falher respectively.
The duo of Ashley Price and Steve Middleton, who were runners up last week and clinched fourth place this week, lead the series order of merit with 6 points.
Around 30 golfers competed in this week’s ‘3 x 3 Rumble’ competition which was played under floodlights on the back nine holes of the Club’s Montgomerie championship course. George Lodge from the Golf Operations Department distributed the prizes at a ceremony in the Club’s Members’ Lounge.
The series takes place at the Royal Golf Club every Monday evening. The 9-hole competitions are open to non-members at the special summer rate of BD18 per night and tee off with a 6.30pm shotgun start.
