Husband and wife David and Dena Wales enjoyed a comfortable win in this week’s Monday Night Lights competition at the Royal Golf Club, scoring 24 points, a full three points ahead of runners-up Steve and Samantha Hill. The duo of Stewart Tankard and Carter Alexander came third with a score of 20 points.
The better ball stableford competition was played under floodlights on the back 9 holes of the club’s Montgomerie championship course. The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Members’ Lounge.
The Monday Night Lights 9 hole competitions are open to club members and to non-members with an official handicap at a cost of BD20 per night green fee plus a BD2 entry fee. The competitions tee off with a 6.30pm shotgun start. Non handicap golfers are also welcome to play and can use their scores to work towards achieving an official handicap.
