Nasser Yacoob won the qualifying round of the Royal Golf Club’s annual Scratch Championships with a fantastic one over par gross score of 73, despite strong winds which made the course even more challenging than usual.
Sultan Al Hakam was runner-up with gross 77 on countback while Sam Hobday came third, also on 77.
Chris Meyer and Paul Van Roghen, who were runners-up in the third week of the African & Eastern Monday Madness Night Golf Series competition at the Royal Golf Club (RGC) went one better in the fourth week clinching first place with a nett score of 28.5.
Mohamed Al Noaimi enjoyed wins in both the gross and nett sections of the monthly DHL Order of Merit competition at the Royal Golf Club and Sara Thompson completed the same feat in the ladies categories.
Over the last few days here at the Royal Golf Club the wind has picked up and is presenting players with a test on the course.
