The second Ladies Captain Annual Charity Golf Tournament, held at the Royal Golf Club, raised more than $10,000 for The Palm Association, a Bahrain charity run by women and providing assistance such as food parcels, educational sponsorship and home improvements for Bahraini women and children.
On the fifth anniversary of golfing legend Seve Ballesteros’ death, a memorial tournament was held at the Royal Golf Club to mark the occasion. The individual stableford competition was won by Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed, with a score of 40 points.
Khalifa Daij and playing partner Khalifa Al Merisi won the penultimate competition of the six-week Porsche Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club with a score of 25 points.
Bahraini Sultan Al Hakam was crowned the Royal Golf Club’s Scratch Champion 2016 after beating off a strong challenge from last year’s winner, Hamad Mubarak.
