Resident professional Rory Young set them a series of skill challenges with marks scored for nailing bunker shots and hitting a gong placed on the range.
MASTERFUL Mohammed Hamad Al Aathem was the net overall winner of Friday’s Awali Golf Club’s singles stroke-play competition, sponsored by British Airways, with a net 65, gross 81, shortly ahead of runner-up Nasser Eid. The BA Medal winner prize was taken by Mohammed Salmeen with a gross of 72.
THE winds of change were blowing in Bahrain on Saturday. Not only did they bring plenty of sand to result in poor visibility at the Awali Golf Club (AWC) but a change of hands for the Crown Prince Cup … after the home team took the prize from Bahrain Golf Club (BGC) after more than a quarter of a century trying.
