CHOCOLATE-LOVING GulfWeekly readers able to conjure up a delicious cake or dessert could walk away with a pair of white gold or sparkling diamond drop ear-rings in a competition.

Maya La Chocolaterie is gearing up for the festive season by launching the first Maya Chocolate Festival running next month at Seef Mall with a contest, unique displays of mouth-watering delights and a host of activities to attract and entertain chocoholics of all ages.

The event will highlight the busy season of festivals which include Eid, National Day, Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Bertrand Espouy, brand manager of Maya La Chocolaterie, said; "The people of Bahrain are very lucky to have so many festivities all condensed in one month, this is Maya's way of sharing these happy moments with the public.

"It will be a great opportunity for the people to engage in witnessing chocolate molds being made, chocolate sculptures being carved, different activities for children like cup-cake decoration, colouring and drawing contests and a nationwide competition to find the "Best Homemade Chocolate Cake" and "Best Homemade Chocolate Dessert".

"The highlight of the event will definitely be the two competitions where there will be a chance to win beautiful diamond and white gold drop earrings."

To take part visit the Maya shop to fill out an entry form. Judging for the best cake will be held on December 5, and judging for the best dessert on December 19.

Maya will also be introducing a vast range of chocolates and desserts and gift items to compliment the season, of which 20 per cent of the proceeds of the sales will go to support autism centres in Bahrain. A special stand will be set up in Seef Mall. For more details contact 17583368.
