A Sea Festival will be held from October 20-29 at Bahrain Bay to celebrate the kingdom’s rich link to the sea, tying it to several traditions and activities such as pearl diving and dhow making.
It will include a series of activities including an underwater photography exhibition, 3D virtual tour, simulator, interactive fish tank, live performances and a food and beverages area. The public will also have the opportunity to purchase Bahraini pearls from merchants.
It will be open daily from 5pm-11pm. Entrance is BD2.
MASK Theatre Company is preparing to stage its latest performance, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown by Clark Gesner, and is calling on all singers, actors, dancers and acrobats to audition for the show.
The play is a musical comedy based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M Schulz in his comic strip Peanuts.
Auditions are open to singers and actors from age 14 and above, including adults, while dancers and acrobats must be between the ages of 11 and 16.
The auditions will be held on October 20 at 5pm and October 21 at 2pm at Inspire Arts Centre in Budaiya. For more information, call 39047734.
The next edition of Trib Fest is taking place at the Bahrain Rugby Football Club in Janabiya on October 21.

The IGN Convention Bahrain will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir on October 21-22. The special guests will be American actor and director Giancarlo Esposito, best known for his role of Gustavo ‘Gus’ Fring on the series Breaking Bad, and US wrestling icon and Olympic gold medallist Kurt Angle.
